Me and the latest? I've been trained to volunteer at a local hospital each Friday in the "Surgery waiting" area. I escort same-day surgery patients to their rooms, and take them to their awaiting vehicles in a wheel-chair, after, etc.
Our Cupola Gallery group may soon have a "store-front" gallery in town (I'm on the board) and...we have a fund-raiser coming up November 8th. I'm in charge of the silent auction for this event. We will have a free glass of wine, live music, silent auction, and....art work displayed by our members for sale.
NEWS FLASH: I've been mourning the loss of my 10-yr. old Snowshoe "Mouse" to cancer. So....I went to a local rescue agency site, and ADOPTED (2) ragdoll mix kittens (about 11 weeks old). They are brother and sister, namely: "Abby" and "Romeo" I'm (a very young) 71, so...this is most likely my last adoption. Cat count here: 12. Dog count:: 3.
The kittens went in for spay./neuter today...so all is well.
Fall has approached abruptly. I dread Winter..it is stressful for me, wondering if pipes might burst, kittens might not find their way to my porch in the ice and snow...the weight of carting 40 lb wood pellet bags from my garage to family room to warm us....etc. etc.
My sister is in a skilled nursing facility AKA: Nursing home. I am very concerned about her. Prayers are welcome. Her name is "Lorene."
