Mugsey

On June 24, 2008, Mugsey crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Mugsey had kidney failure, and really only the last month was bad for him, and he only suffered really the last day. We made the excruciating decision to put him down, but upon lifting him to go for his last ride, he passed in my husband's arms. He was at home with my husband, his sister Daisy and our cat Annie. As sad as we are, we're glad it was at home, where he loved. It will be a long road, but we will meet again! |

I'm so deeply sorry for your loss.. what a beautiful dog.. your post made me cry, especially the part where you said he died in your husband's arms.. they know.. He was right where he wanted to be.. My cat Jordan of 19 years died from cancer last year.. after the x-rays we were able to have him for another 2 weeks, and he layed next to my head every night, and i told him how much i loved having him apart of my life... the day came where i knew would be his last, and i didn't want him uncomfortable, so i called the vet.. They were ready for me.. it was snowing that day, and as i was getting the car ready, i had the kids come into my room to say good-bye to him,,, i tried to pull the car forward, and it would not go.. it was stuck in the snow.. i was getting very upset, because i didn't want my beloved Jordan to suffer.. i went into my bedroom and held him next to me, wondering what to do next, he layed in my arms and took his last breath.. He too, was right where he wanted to be...Cancer takes so many of our pets and family members.. my daddy was diagnosed with kidney cancer right after the new year this year... sorry my story was so long.. i just wanted you to know,, your story touched me VERY much! just remember "they are right where they want to be".. that's when we know as pet parent's that we did a wonderful job.. UGGHHH.. i'm still crying ;-) Take-Care my friends! ~Dane (Paws4Me)

I am very sorry for your loss. What a beautiful thing for your dog to cross over the Rainbow Bridge in your husband's arms. He gave you his last gift in leaving this way. I lost my beloved Keesha last Nov. and she will always have a place in my heart. Take care and God bless. |
