Bartman

I got Bartman was he was only 5 weeks old and not quite weaned. We weaned him on tuna and milk. He was so tiny whenever he tried to walk his little legs would “splat” out from up under him. He was a precious baby and traveled extensively with me and would only sit on my lap while driving (which I know was not exactly the safest place to be but he squalled if he was on my lap). Bart was a Scottish Fold – Single Fold. He had the littlest ears that I had ever seen on a cat. He hated bath time, but loved to cuddle with his mama under the blankets to get warm and dry. He was particular about his food – he only wanted shredded chicken in gravy and refused to eat anything else. He was diagnosed as diabetic by the vet the summer of 2004 and the vet said he was too old to treat as he was 14 at the time. So we just bided our time and on April Fool’s Day (4/1/05) his kidneys gave out and he passed to the Rainbow Bridge. There is not a day that goes by that I don’t think of him. I called him “My Sweet Baby Boy” and he is still so missed and so very much loved. |

What a sweet story, he was a lucky kitten! One of my kittens went to The Bridge last Fall. I know they will be friends and he will look out for my Angel kitten! Please visit our site at Catster.com and see her page. fllady62@yahoo.com SylV |
