Pampered Pets: When Enough is Enough
106 Views | 7 Comments | | Pamered Pets, Just For Fun

If you think that your pet is spoiled, chances are that he or she may be as spoiled as they come. There are many different ways of being able to tell if your dog is spoiled silly, but only a few ways to know if your dog is spoiled beyond what is necessary. Is your pampered pet just a bit too pampered? Here are a few ways to know when enough is enough, and your pet has just passed the realm of the most pampered of pets.

He Sleeps in the Bed, and You Feel Guilty For Kicking Him Out

Many dogs sleep in bed with their owners, at least for part of the night. Not everyone has the opportunity to get the good night's sleep that they deserve because of this, and if you are one of these people then you can consider your dog extra spoiled. And then there are the dog owners that refuse to kick their dogs out of their beds and if they do, they feel guilty about it. Does that sound familiar to you? If so, it is time for you to take charge of your bed! Pick up one of those comfortable luxury dog beds online that are on the market today and get your pet to sleeping in his own bed. Who knows; you may want to bunk up with him in the end!

Your Pet Food Costs More Than Yours Does—and So Does Their China

It is important to feed your pet the right type of food, and the nutritious and healthy kind is the best thing that you can do for them. If you go all out and feed your pet the top of the line dog food and then give it to them in lovely ceramic dog bowls, your pet might be a little bit more than spoiled. There is nothing wrong with feeding your dog the best food you can afford, but dogs are born to be destructive and if you are paying extra to find them fancy dog dishes your pet may be a bit too pampered.

Your Dog Wears Dog Clothes and/or Dog Jewelry

In some areas of the United States, a dog sweater or dog coat is a necessity for a short haired breed. Sometimes dog clothing is okay, but if your dogs wardrobe rivals yours then your pet is a certified over-pampered pooch. There is a lot of dog jewelry on the market today too and while it can make any dog look lovelier than a picture, it is also an indication of an extra pampered pet. If you don't wear jewelry every day, your dog is just a bit too pampered.

If your dog hogs your bed, eats expensive food out of a classy bowl and has more style than you do, you might want to reconsider your way of doing business. Invest some of your money in dog training or something of that nature. Some extras are not always necessary, but if you have the resources and the will to spoil your pet why not do so?

My boys sleep in the bed with us even though they have the luxury dog beds. Some nights it costs me quality sleep, but most nights it is not a problem. They are only on their beds if we are not in the room. They don't have clothes or jewelry though (unless you count collars and tags)

The girls get whatever I feel they deserve. If that means good food, sleeping with me, clothes, etc. so be it.
They need all the love we can give them.

you guys are too funny. I love to shop for dog, I think I spend more on her than I do on myself. By the way, very nice website for PamperMePuppy.com, I just may have to look into this a bit more. That's all I need is to do more shopping for my pooch. My husband is gonna you know what me. LOL

my dog is a rescue who was abandoned and abused. Any spoiling she gets is justified after such a crappy start to life. She sleeps in the bed, but gets out if I push her out. No, I don't feel guilty about that. And I use ceramic dog bowls because I read that they're better than plastic (and I just don't like metal ones for some reason). She has yet to break anything. I would be more like to step on it than she would be to break it.

my cat was adopted from a shelter. She sleeps on my bed with me, she meows in the middle of the night for me to play with her. Sometimes I do. She likes the place that I sit on the couch. When I move she'll sit there. O Well.

OK, so I spoil my dogs. So what? They're like my children. They both sleep in my bed, are allowed on my brand new furniture, eat from elevated food dishes, have lambskin coats for the winter, eat premium food and get their teeth brushed every night. One of my dogs is a rescue and also had a crappy start in life. He deserves the best life has to offer and so does my little girl. After all, she's my Princess. But no, she doesn't wear jewelry.
