I'm a long dog lover too - and I was tricked into it! I babysat one who got me wrapped around her little paw. Then when I could rescue one, I did! And I haven't been the same since. He's just too wonderful, and came at just the right time. Wiener dogs rule! Well, and so do cocker spaniels, great danes, and beagles - what the heck, I love them all!

I just checked petfinder yesterday and his name was Thomas and he was adopted!!!! Yeah. Carthage gets so many good dogs I don't know what goes on up there. Thank you for caring.

I luv doxies but both of mine are old and I probably won't have them much longer. I just lost my soulmate, my precious baby boy in Jan and I'm not over that yet. He was a light chocolate doxie and his name was Toby. I think you live in Joplin and there is a male doxie in the Carthage shelter I wish you would go get. He came in with a buddy and the buddy was adopted so he is alone. I think his name is Thomas and my heart just goes out for the poor little lonely boy. Look at him on petfinder please! I am looking to get another one maybe two because I know I probably don't have long with my two remaining. My brother lives in Webb City and both nieces live in that area!
