He does not have a cast. He just has no leg, and about 12 staples in him. We had a cat declawed once when I was a kid and she came home the same day. No stitches, no pain, no problems. I guess that our vet may do the procedure differently than others. Well, he is a pitiful thing but he sure is mean right now. He will let us pet him, but he does not like to be held. I feel uncomfortable picking him up because I am afraid that I will hurt him. Anyway, I will keep you posted on his progress. He goes the 2nd to have his staples removed and I will post some new pictures of him then. Thanks for the advice, I welcome any advice and stories of peoples experiences.

Yes, he has claws. It is his front left leg that is missing. I have been considering having him declawed completely soon as I will not EVER allow him outside and he likes to slap at Lilly and I o not want him to be able to hurt her. He is a very angry cat right now. I hope he can overcome all the trauma he has been through and mellow out some. He does get around very well. However, when he tries to run he sometimes falls over on his side. He just gets ahead of himself.

Hey, I think you are the only one of my pet pals that has a cat. I have a good one for you. I just got a three legged cat this morning. We named him Apollo. My landlord found him with his leg half cut off and took him to the vet. He spent almost four hundred dollars on the cat just to give him to me. Do you know anything about three legged animals. The only thing that I have learned so far is that I cannot let him get over-weight.

Lilly is doing really good. She is back to her hyper active old self. She can jump on and off the couch again and doen't sleep all the time. Her incisiion is healing nicely as well. Thanks for asking. How are your little critters?

I'm still thinking...everything they do is CUTE!! Hmmm, ok- Pugsley has that underbite, so after she eats and can't wash her mouth off, she wipes it on me?? But it's cute:)
