I sure know what it's like to be busy! Things never seem to slow down. You get one thing resolved and then two or three more pop up to take it's place. Hope you are well and everything is good for you. Times are sure hard right now and I pray you are not feeling the economy failure! Amy

Howdy! Yeah, I've been real busy lately. I think I am starting to see the sky for the clouds so maybe things will settle down and I can start paying attention to new and old friends. We are all doing well and glad to hear you and your babies are good, too. Anything new in your life that you want to share? Stay in touch, I will do the same. Amy

Hi! Good to hear from you...how is summer going? I'm glad that your babies are doing fine. Ours are too...these little dogs seem to just know to avoid outdoors when we get into this soupy heat!! Thay hang out inside with the AC and plenty of busy-toys to play with. I've been really busy with pet sculptures, which I expect in the fall, but this had been unusual since April...non stop orders! Not comlpaining- I love the work. Scratch back soon- Kathryn

Oh I thought I had told you about the 9 year old yorkie that I got from the breeder who was done using him. He is 9, didn't have name and had spent his entire life in a cage. He was only taken out of his cage to be put into another cage to breed and then back to his. He was covered in ticks and could barely walk from not having any exercise. But he is doing great now. He is like a different dog. He knows his name, which by the way is Lucky. The family that took him have just given him so much TLC that he is in heaven. He is gaining weight and is walking better now. I am stuck between a rock and a hard place. I have to be nice to these breeders in order to get these dogs when they are finished using them. If I don't take them, they will just kill them. They have been turned in before, but in the good old state of OK you only have to provide food, water and shelter. It doesn't matter if the dogs are neglected, just so long as they get those three things. Well I have to hit the shower, we have a spay and neuter clinic this weekend and I have set up for it. Take care and I will talk at you later.

I'm glad you had a good time on your trip. Mo is doing wonderful. He is starting to play with the other chichi's. He has put on some weight now and is just such a delight to have around. I saw the little Yorkie today and he is a different dog now that he has a happy home and lots of TLC. Well I have to head back to work, but I will send more later. Hope Ruby gets to feeling better. Sounds great to me, man I wish I had a place to take my dogs and get out of dodge for a while. I am just so tired of dealing with bad dog people. I take in foster dogs that come from breeders and the only way I can do that is to keep my mouth shut as to which breeder the dogs come from. Well I took in a 9 year old male Yorkie that was in such terrible condition. He had been so neglected. The dog had not been out of a cage for 9 years, exept to breed and then get put back in his cage. He is just exhausted. He doesn't even have a name. He smelled to high heaven and he was covered in ticks. I just can't get any help in shutting these poeple down, and puppy mills just keep popping up all over the place. I thought by taking over as director of the low cost spay and neuter program that I could make a difference, but it seems like I am just banging my head against the wall. Anyway, sorry to dump all this on you. I hope you have a wonderful relaxing time. Catch up with me when you get back and I will let you know if I have been sent to jail yet for beating up some bad dog person. LOL

Mo is doing great. He is getting really comfortable with me now. I am taking him to work with me every day so that I can expose him to different sounds and smells. He is putting a little weight on, but we are still fighting kennel cough that he caught at the shelter. But he is just so precious and I can imagine anyone be cruel to this little guy, but there are a lot of bad people in this world. I am just glad that I was able to take him in and make the rest of his life a happy one. Thanks checking on Mo. I hope all is well at your home front. Keep in touch. Patti

Okay I added Mo picture. I know he might not be beautiful to everyone, but he is to me. He is going to be neutered tomorrow and have his teeth cleaned. After we have recovered from that, we are going to check and see if his eyes can be fixed or if he would be better with them left alone. He seems to be adapting really well. He gets so excited now when he hears my voice. I know that this little guy is going to bring a lot of joy to my life, just as I will his. Catch you later, Patti

That is so nice of you. I am doing okay. I loved my Allie deeply, but I know she is in a happy place and feeling no pain. Last Friday I adopted a blind, hairless Chihuahua that was going to be put down. I know that he has a lot more love to give and being blind is not a reason to be put down. He was dumped at the local animal shelter and they gave him a month to find a home, then his time was up. As soon as I found out about him, I rescued him. I named him Mo, which was Allie's nickname. He has a small amount of hair on his face and it is silver like Allie's. I know she would be happy that I saved his life. Thanks again for your wonderful words.
