Hii!!! Thanks for asking about my pets in Cuba. No, The answer is not. They haven't come yet. I think maybe for next year. They are Ok, but there are not animal hospitals there, so sometimes it is difficult to keep them healthy. Let me explain it to you because I know it is not easy to understand. There are animal hospital there, but there are no medicines, veterinarians don't want to work because they do not have conditions. Everything is complicated in Cuba. I hope those people that are trying to help after the hurricanes go to Cuba and do it by themselves. Otherwise government is going to manage everything in their way. I remember one time that Cuba got a donation from somewhere and they sold everything in stores. Everything was sold at really high prices. That's what always happens there. I do not know when that's going to stop. We (cubans) do not have choice. We just have to wait to see what's going to happen tomorrow. I would like to go to my country someday and see that everything have changed. Kissseessss from my babies.

I feel the same way about animals. If I go somewhere people have animals, I'm always more interested in them than the people. Much like people, they each have their own set of genetic and environmental influences that makes each unique. I recently read in a publication that cat coat color is determined by more than genetics. I'm interested in learning more about that. The article also eluded to cat personality being influenced by their time in the womb. Gee, sibling bonding and rivalries start that early? Kind of makes sense,eh? The litter has to share a tight space for awhile. Have a great weekend!

Hi Cat Mom, More so the dark ones have leaned towards me. 4 of the 6 strays that turned up in my yard and permanently adopted me are black. The other 2 are grey. My first 2 cats that I adopted from my brother's stray cat's litter are grey too. You'd think I'd get at least one orange or calico in the mix. No matter. Their personalities are very colorful.

Heehee well we have a pick-up camper and we go camping with about 20 friends, their horses and dogs and trailers, and we have a pure blast!!! It's my favorite trip ever, I just love it! :)

Hi. Thanks for the note. Been meaning to get my pics on the sight. Unfortunately I had to take my 2 male kitties to emergency vet clinic in the last couple weeks. One for severe allergic reaction to we think his rabies vaccination. He was in hospital half a week. The other for a urinary tract blockage. The allergy guy seems like he's out of the woods, but I'm still watching the other one after being in the hospital for a week. So far we've been able to avoid surgery. If he blocks again, he'll need the surgery, though. How are you and yours?

Hey how is everything going? Yes Sylvester has long wiskers and big paws!! He really is just a big boy. I started posting a few more pictures on last night...I havnt finished yet..But I promise I will get there!! I got a little upper respiratory happening here now:( It started in 2 and now 3 have it And I only had medicine for 2 so for sure there will be a trip back to the vet earily next week. Other then that!! All is good:)

I am HOT - my pets are HOT and the swamp cooler doesn't help too much with all this humidity. I'm thinking about getting my dog shaved. Vet said the fur is insulation but not when it's all over my floor and he's panting all day. He only goes out to relieve himself so I should have done it sooner. How are you handling the weather? It really isn't as bad as in the past. Sorry I took so long to respond - changing from dialup to hispeed has absored my attention for a few weeks.

there's never an excuse for that. when we do have to go somewhere, i have a freezer thing to put in their water so it stays cold, and i wet their heads. of course, that has never pleased coco, but it does keep him cooler, and that's what counts

no, no pool. goldie would love it, but coco will go fifty feet around a puddle. goldie takes a shower with me. with it in the nineties, we stay inside most of the time
