Hello Dan, Thanks for the invite!! We are a quaint little group who lives in Georgia. Our family consists of 2 shih tzu's (one who is very spoiled and one who is very greatful to be adopted), a cat who adopted us as a kitten and a cockatiel. Everyone gets alone, so I consider that pretty lucky.

Hey Dan! Thanks for the invite. My 2 babies are Winston and Miranda. He is a cranky 16 year old Cairn Terrier and she she is a sweet 14 yr old Labrador and my best friend. I adopted them both from shelters. Miranda had been terribly abused and was due to be euthenized the day after I visited the shelter. She was a pack of bones and scared of her own shadow so nobody wanted to adopt her. So of course I took her home. She turned out to be the best dog I have ever had. She has given me 14 yrs of joy. Thanks for the invite! I was so excited when I found this site. I have a good sized pack; it used to be much bigger (15 at one point)! They're all girls. We used to have a male terrier, but he died last year. Our male cat disappeared in Aug. and we still miss him very much. All of our cats and dogs are such sweethearts, all with rescue stories too :). They're definitely unique ;). So that's my pack!

hi & thanks, pete & i live in north carolina, i rescued him. he has a lot of pitt in him & is so sweet considering his backround, his mother was hit by a car & killed, but pete ( a tiny baby) stayed right by her body until a woman grabbed him. he did not want to leave her. he went to a family who left him in a kennel all day & all night, never to go in a house, run, or be trained. left by himself until sometimes 11pm he got no attention or love. he was a nightmare. weve had him 4 months & he still cries in his sleep sometimes. i don't feel sorry for him i just let him know who the pack leader is & shower him with lot's of love. i will post a pic as soon as i can. can't wait to meet new people, i think this site is great! thanks dan, sincerly petesgirl

Hi ..Thanks 4 the invite..we live in Triangle VA.Bruno,Shellie,Muggsie and me.Bruno is my little man and has been with me since the day he was born,14 years ago.Shellie was living in a back yard with 5 other dogs and not much food.She had to fight with the other dogs just to stay alive. When I brought her home she was skin and bones.Now she is my phat girl! That was 4 years ago. Little Mugs was left alone for three days when her daddie passed away. That was just last year. As far as I know she is about 10 years old.We r one big Happy famialy and that's the Bruno_crew

Hi thanks for the invite! I just recently made my first "real" adoption....lol Lucy.. she was at the local pound and I jsut HAD to have her. My other pets have all been either pets offspring from friends or family, Ziggy is my boyfriends cat..she isn't up on the idea of the pup but she will get used to her i am sure! I got so involved with joining, I haven't voted yet. I listed 5 pets, because I was impatient to finish: I actually have about 40 rescued cats as well as my 2 rescued pit bulls. I also maintain 3 feral colonies, where I do TNR. I'm an animal activist in town, as well as on the web--I must belong to more than 30 national email sites, and sign petitions on any subject that will help animals, punish the monsters who hurt animals, improve the planet, or get rid of GWB. I'm vegan because I love animals too much to eat them, wear them, or use them in cosmetics or cleaning supplies. I guess that's enough for an introduction. I'll never be accused of writing brief messages... Cinnamonfire.

Thanks for the Welcome. I received an Add from Best Friends and thought I would try your web site. I lost both of my dogs last year, one to old age and the other to a tumor. I have had many, many pets since a young child. I now live in a country type setting on one acre with a barn for my horse, cats and feral pets and coop for the chickens. I sometimes have a few wild friends as well. This past winter there were a dozen doves that would come to eat seed that I through on the chicken coop roof.
