I saw someone elses post here and I have a similar problem, but it is only when my cat gets scared. Unfortunatly my cat is very skitish (spelling) and is afraid of alot so as soon as something small happens he sprays and it stinks.. A web site I was on says try white vinager and water mixed to spray where he has sprayed and that may solve some of the issue..

But does anyone have any ideas on how to make him less scared of everything and any ideas how maybe to make him stop spraying.

My husband threatens me all the time that we have to get rid of him.. But I am just not willing to get rid of him... HELP

I know the first thing everyone asks is your cat fixed. Well i have had many cats over the years. Some where and some weren't and as they got older they all seem to do the spraying thing. male cats will spray there domian if there are other cats in the area. First thing call your vet. there might be some thing else going on in the bladder if he does it when he is scared or excited. Some dogs do the same thing  when company comes ect.  I found that if you catch it right away get yourself a bottle of Clorox spray cleaner with bleach. use it right from the bottle  and srcub it up. it does kill the smell. I have a female that would pee on my grandkids bed. She is jealous of them. I got the spray and soaked the spot on the mattress and cleaned it up after it dried there was no smell. Good luck
