Hi Butterfly- I have a 7 month-old male CKCS (Reuben) and I adore him! He has a ton of energy, but is a sweetie, and very friendly to people and dogs alike. He's also quite trainable. He needs to be occupied with toys, other dogs or some activity for a while each day, but also just loves to curl-up with his momma once he settles down to rest. I am considering finding him a sister and I'd absolutely adopt another CKCS. It is very important that you read about health risks of the CKCS. That way, you can make sure to ask the breeders about their sensitivity to them. The most important one to know about is Mitral Valve Disease. There are Amer. Kennel Club guidelines that the best breeders follow to avoid passing this prevalent but deadly disease throughout the CKCS breed. Please feel free to write to me if you're serious about adopting a CKCS and ask me any questions. I think there's a good breeder in Jackson and Reuben's breeder lives in Cadillac, MI. Peace. |
