I just wanted to  give rescuers of mixed breed dogs a heads up about the DNA testing now available to identify the primary breeds in your dog. I rescued a puppy, whose litter was dumped on a country road. Without exception, everyone who saw her knew she must be a Border Collie mix. Curious as to what else she might be, I ordered the DNA testing kit from BioPet labs for $59.99. After a very long wait for results, I finally got mine, and was shocked at the results. They could indentify only one breed in Callie, and that was Golden Retreiver! I encourage you to go to my profile, and veiw Callie's photo!! I then did a search of folks who had used this service, to find  another blog on this site of someone with an obvious Rottweiler mix, whose results came back poodle, min. Schnauzer! If you are considering testing your dog, I would caution you about using Biopet Labs. I don't want to see anyone else wasting their money!!
