| I just got back from the Vets again this afternnon. Tango had just been put under anesthesia again had had another set of xrays of his hip. Even though he was sedated all night, the ball has slipped back out of the socket Tomorrow morning he will be transported to the mainland, and at 1 PM he will start getting prepped for surgery. Because of his massive size, the orthopedic surgeon will have to decide if popping the ball back into the socket and securing it with pins will be enough strength to support his weight, or having to give him a complete hip replacement I will be traveling with Tango to the mainland, once the specialist goes over everything with me, I will have to come back to the Island. I have no idea how long he will have to stay there. Thanks for all the prayers so far, say an extra prayer for him tomorrow.

| Hi everybody.... It's early Thursday morning. I will be leaving soon to go to my Vets here to get ready for transporting Tango to the mainland. I will probably not get back home until this evening. Thank all of you, for your outpouring of love, & prayers for Tango. Your support has helped me more than I can tell you. Even though I know Tango is going to be in the best place possible, it is still devastating to me. We take such wonderful care of our pets, and out of no where something so terrible can go wrong in a split second. Here is a link to the orthopedic specialist that will be putting Tangos hip back together, or replacing it, if thats what he feels needs to be done. His name is Dr Edward Kochin, and is considered one best orthopedic surgeons in the country. I am putting my trust in him. http://www.buzzardsbayvetassociates.com/CCVS/Dr%20Kochins%20Web%20Page.htm | | | |

| Yesterday AM my brother & I went to my Vets here, the had Tango ready for the transport to the mainland. We went to the orthopedic specialist on the cape, he looked at the xrays that my Vet has sent along with us. The specialist said he could certainly put the pins into the ball to hold it in the socket.....but he said even that surgery would work, because the specialist said Tango has hip displaysia (which nobody knew until yesterday) he said Tango has be in Angel Memorial Hospital or Tufts, because he needs to have a complete hip replacement. Arrangements were immediately made, and we transported Tango to Tufts University Veterinary Hospital. Tango was admitted into ICU, as he has not eaten since Monday because of the stress of all of this, so they are giving him IV's, getting him comfortable....Tango will have the surgery sometime between Monday & Wednesday next week...the reason it is taking this long is because there are only 2-3 specialists at Tufts that perform this, and this type of surgery is not usually an emergency, so people book appointments weeks ahead for the dog, but they will get Tango done asap early next week. So my baby is now in Tufts University, he is not in ICU because he is in critical condition, he was put there because they have a complete staff of vets, interns, techs in that ward 24/7, and because Tufts is a teaching vet hospital, there asign a vet student to each dog 1 on 1 around the clock. Tango will never be alone and have the very best care around the clock. My heart is so sad right now for Tango, but I also know he is now in one of the best facilities in the country, with some of the best specialists in the world. They told me it is best, that I do not come back to visit Tango, until its time to pick him up...they said it puts to much stress on the dog when people visit their dog, and then leave, the dogs gets to upset. I trust Tufts completely. A Vet will call me once a day and give me a complete update on Tango. Once they had Tango all situated, I went back to see him before we left, Tango was free to lay on the floor by the ICU desk, there were 5-7 ICU staff loving him to peices. Throughout all this Tango is still as happy as can be expected, and was licking everybodies faces...he is drinking plenty of water, he is just not eating right now..... as the next few days approach, I will keep you all posted...pray hard for my baby Tango, this is going to be a really big surgery and recovery for him.....I love you guys for being my support right now, you have no idea how much I need it
