| Hello everybody- I have seen this new product called the Peticure advertised on TV, it is suppose to be much easier on and better for you babies while cutting their nails. Has anyone used it yet? What do you think? I would rather use something like this if it really works. Please advise | | | |

| Hi chuckles, I hadn't seen the commerical, but found the product on www.Peticure.com At my groomers, I have a choice of regular clipping or Dremmeling. Seems to me this is similar to a Dremmel tool. So seems OK to me. | | | |

| | OH MY GOD! I love my Peticure…after just two times of using it I feel totally comfortable filing my baby’s nails. I was never comfortable using the dremmel because it bumped and skipped and felt very unstable. This new guard thingy makes it completely stable while filing. I can get the nail rounded and smooth in just seconds. This is a safer, more humane way to trim your dog’s nails. Never again will I use clippers and risk cutting them to short. | | | |

| I sometimes use a dremmel to take down my dogs nails too.... but "PLEASE" be careful when using a dremmel on your dogs nails. DO NOT use the metal file attactment, only use the brown sanding barrels.....and only hold the dremmel on the nail for a couple of seconds at a time.... dremmel attachments can create a lot of heat on what-ever they are working on.... | | | |

| | wow this is pretty neat. Going to look into this, since one of my dogs just hates having her nails cut, just touching her paws gets her upset so you can imagine how nail triming goes. Needless to say her nails are longer than they should be | | | |

| I got my peticure today & it looks really neat. I've started to get Sammy used to the sound of it & in a day or so I'll try it. I watched the video on their site & it looks pretty easy.
Heather, how did your dog take to it at first? Any tips for me LOL! | | | |

| Are the Peticure machines safe to use on toy dogs (Chihuahuas). I have 3 of them, and its a real pain to cut their nails. They don't fight it much, but I'm always afraid I'll cut too far and make them bleed. Plus the nails are sooo sharp after they are cut. | | | |

| | Yes Cihwowa, it's for all size dogs & cats too. Go to their website www.peticure.com and you can read all about it. I haven't used it yet, but am introducing it to Sammy gradually. | | | |

| | Actually it was Chuckles that turned me on to this! Today I tried doing one paw (call me chicken!) and Sammy just layed there....never even tried to pull his paw out of my hand! Of course they don't look like I did anything because I have to get used to it also. I only had it on a very low setting. But he behaved so well I am encouraged! After doing the one paw, I let him up & praised him & gave him a treat. Once he learns that it does't hurt, & I get used to it, it should be much easier & even look like I trimmed them LOL!! I think you'll love it chiwowa! | | | |
