| | Hi Everyone.
Bella is having some lower back trouble. She has arthritis in her rear. Lately she's having problems getting up. I just started her on Bio Vet antioxident wafers & Natural Care hip n joint tabs. these meds have lots of good stuff in them. I know it takes a while for this to kick in. I wish there was something that would instantly help.
Please keep Bella in your thoughts n prayers | | | |

| | Rodo...if Bella is uncomfortable or has pain, you can give her something that you can buy at the drug store, it's called Ascriptin..it is Maalox coated Asprin...it is gentle on the dogs stomach...I buy the regular strength (325mg)...and for Tango who weighs 175 pounds, I give him one every 4-6 hours....they work very well. If I remember correctly, it costs about $4.00 for a bottle of 100....if you cant find them, ask the pharmacist to find them on the shelf for you (comes in a white box with red/black wording) My Vet told me to get them for Tango when he ruff-houses around and limps....hope Bella feels better soon... | | | |

| Hi Rodo - My Jake (yellow lab - 6yrs old) tour his ACL 2 yrs ago - he recovered from surgery very well but has recently developed severe arthritis - to the point where he was keeping his leg up (since his surgery he has been on daily glucosamine) That has helped alot - well we have him on previcox daily 227mg and this has tremendously improved his walking and he keeps his leg down all the time now...when it rains he tends to be a bit sore (just like humans) the Glucosamine and previcox is working well and my vet also recommended Fish Oil 1000 mg daily - she said not only is it great for their coat - but there is proven studies that show the fish oil helps the joints too. Well I am now walking Jake a few times a week and he is doing great......has some pain and a slight limp but I think thats just the way it will be but they are just like humans needs the meds to help - Surgery is an option too but its a huge expense for me to go that route - and if he is doing well and can walk and get around then Im happy with our treatments now......hope this helps a little....best of Luck with Bella.. | | | |
