Ok, I'm getting absolutely no housework done today because Molly & Zorro are full of you-know-what due to the cooler weather. And made me wonder what type of non-dog games you may play with your poochies. (Somthing other than fetch or tug-of-war) Hide-and-Seek is Molly & Zorro's favorite non-dog game. The trick is getting them preoccupied enough on something else for 2 minutes to hide. Then I whistle and see how long it takes them to find me. They run around like crazy looking. Just curious - what games do you play?? OH - and Zorro usually wins - those darn big ears of his - I think he hears me breathing!!

I have these long metal "tongs" I use to grab my pasta out of the pot with...... I start clanking them at the dogs....hehe, they run all thru the house while I clank them running after them..... it's quite a game we have......they bark at them and run, it goes on until I get pooped out from chasing them

When Brodie sneezes, I sneeze back, and we get a chain going, have done as many as 12 or so sneezes in a row, alternating back and forth. Also, I sometimes imitate him, especially if he has tongue sticking out or head cocked, when he changes, I do too, and a few times, when I've changed, he imitated me back.

Made a BIG mistake. Taught Anubis how to play chess. He now beats me 7 out of 10. Rich

LMAO!!! Newfs - I play something similar with Molly, except it's snapping the ring box closed.

My new game I play with the dogs is.... I bookmarked a youtube video, it is a dog that constantly is barking....when all is quiet and I am in front of my puter and my dogs are sleeping in the same room, I put the video on they jump up and go running thru the rooms looking to find a dog in the house... it was hysterical for a couple of times, but they have caught on to it, now they just wake up, give me a strange look, and go back to sleep

I have learned to play hide the meaty bone and let them sniff it out. Its also a good game for them to play when your at work! I've done this twice and placed meaty bones thru out the house.. if they find them they eat them...I have a Field spaniel and black lab. I also play hide and seek with my spaniel..
