I just got an email from SAPL (Society for Animal Protection Legislation). They need immediate help from animal lovers who do not want horses in the US to be slaughtered so they can be sold to foreign countries for human consumption. They need our help by contacting our legislators and letting them know that we want them to immediately support the Sweeny/Spratt amendment to the House Agriculture Appropriations Bill. More information about this can be found at their website saplonline.org/horses.htm or by calling (703) 836-4300. You can also call your Capitol Hill operator at 202 224-3121 who will be able to help you locate your legislators. SAPL wants us to call by Monday. Thank you. P.S.I hope you don't mind my posting a non-dog related topic but I felt the majority of animal attraction animal lovers view this forum.

I emailed my State rep on that. I just got word today that it passed.
