| | Hi
I'm back for suggestions on moving. Still trying to find info on areas & especially those towns known as "dog towns". Can anyone give feedback on Alexandria & Arlington? Also, any info on the different neighborhoods would be great. Of interest are dog parks & a decent/safe area for a single person. Thanks:)

| | Old Towne in Alexandria is one of the most pet friendly towns you can find anywhere. Check out www.petfriendly.com for a listing of various pet friendly resources. FYI, this is the kind of information that will be available directly on Animal Attraction soon.
Hope this helps. Good luck | | | |

| | Hi - Northern Virginia is most definitely pet friendly! Dog parks, lots of biking/hiking trails for walks, and just a short car ride to water, beach, rivers, and mountains. Fairlington, Park Fairfax, Del Ray, and Old Town are great neighborhoods for singles... with lots of good walks for you & dog(s). Of those, Old Town housing will be most expensive to rent or own. Here are some resources:Alexandria: Parks and Recreation http://alexandriava.gov/recreation/parks/dogpark.html On Amazon: Newcomer's Handbook for Moving to Washington D.C.
