Current mood: anxious I am disable and I have three dogs I live in an apartment which allow dogs for rent and depost. Muffin is on the lease but as time went on Tequila which lived next door was being neglected tequila would cry,get to my side of yard and my heart broke cuz she was so matted, infested, and left tied up all day in the back with dirty watter so I took it upon myself to ask the nieghbors if they would give me permission to clean her up and take care of her and luckily they said yes. That how tequila came into my life as time went on rebelde belonged to a lady that would come over and rebelda was infested and was getting hit by her because rebelde would have accidents while the lady would not take her outside so I asked her if i could take rebelde and again the answer was yes.unfortuanately rebelde did not have her shots so she got parvo so I take her to the emergency and I was given a chose of letting rebelde go or getting in depht I chose to get in dept. I love my three girls so much all three do their part in my therapy,so on friday 6/13/08 I recieve a notice from apartment management letting me know i have to many dogs and i am only allowed 2 but i would have to pay rent and i would have to get rid of one.I cant do that, reason being is tequila has issues of biting and i am so afraid no one will want her and tequila would end up put down, and of course that would break my heart. I feel sick. I cant afford to pay no more rent when actually my lease is up and rent has beem raised up 150.00. I am on ssi my daughter has lost her job cuz she had an accident and not able to get a job.So my question is there anything i can do,any advise, resourses,I will do all i can to keep my girls I need them as much as they need me. I have had my girls for a year and now they want to make me give one up I so do appreciate these apartments let us have dogs but this is devasting and i know there has to be a law orsomething i can do. If it would come to me having to find a home for my girl I will be looking for someone that lives close so we would stay in contact and get together once in a while so if there is anyone out there that can help I would love for this to be a happy ending story. thank you belinda and her girls!!!

| I wonder why you ask for people to contact you at your yahoo address instead of people posting responses here or e-mailing you at your AA address. Usually only bots or scammers want to be contacted at yahoo. | | | |

| Most people on the site get a little "leary" of anybody that posts their real email address in the fourm. Thats not really a good thing to do. There is an email service for every member within this site. The only time members have other members real email addys is when, it has been exchanged privately......and......when a new member posts a "yahoo" email addy in a forum or in the chatroom, a huge red flag screams ....BOT.....

| I'm really sorry to hear about your situation and wish you the best of luck. It was wonderful that you "adopted" those pups and have given them a better life than they've known. Good luck.
I have to ask (clearly I'm not as computer savvy as I once thought *cough, cough* but I keep seeing that term 'BOT.' What the heck is a BOT?!

| Bots are not real. It is a computer generated email or profile. The email alsomt always states they saw your profile, and your the most beautiful person they have ever see, that their entire family is dead, and that they have been left millions of dollars....and would love to share it with you. Oh, and for some reason BOTS love to use "yahoo" addresses. Once you go to their Yahoo addy, they will lure you in to get your personal information, bank accounts etc usually the only post a bot will put in the forums, is a post that makes people feel so badly for them, that they respond to it........stay away from BOTS.....when a Bot is in the chatroom, they can not keep up with the room as far as typing, and they do not make sense of what they type...you could ask them a question in the chatroom like "how many dogs do you have?"-> and they may answer, please email me at blablabla@ yahoo.com....it has gotten better on this site, much less bots, but they are everywhere on the internet..... | | | |

| | to newfs I want to thank you for being nice enough to explain this to me and if everyone can see I deleted my email address. seriousely all i was hoping for was maybe someone out there would have gave me some good info, something i would be able to do to keep all my girls, seems like nobody acknowlogde my feelings of how devasting and heartbroken it is that I would have to make a choice between my girls.Thinking since this is a friendly sight animal lovers here it would have been better. actually i am so glad you explained this to me cuz I have been all over trying to get some good advice or something while leaving my email address, but now I know better so I will be deleting the email address. I AM JUST A REAL ANIMAL LOVER WITH HER HEART BROKEN that has hope and faith and will do to keep all my girls together | | | |

| hi there belinda- things can get easily misunderstood online- i can see why people would be concerned. i think when i first joined this site ages ago there was a bot on here- plus i know i have been contacted by them before- yes they wanted me to cash a check, would give me money, etc etc etc. and you should have seen the guys picture- he was gorgeous, whoever he really was, lol.
anyway- i was thinking about your situation- i know my landlord, even the condo association, wont allow more than one dog per household. now some people do have 2 dogs- but i guess no one has complained about them. honestly i dont care if they have 4 dogs each, as long as they pick up the poop outside. (well, the homes are too small for that, but you get my point). i know its been hard for me, because i would love for my Chance to have a little friend, and i would love to foster or help another furry baby in need.
if your landlord cant make an exception, if its in your lease that you can only have 2 pets, i think you are out of luck. sorry to say that- but unless the landlord has a heart- maybe they could take another fee/extra rent or deposit from you (my place takes $500 to have a pet- some places charge $25 a month for a pet- i know money is tight, but thats a small fee to keep a baby), you may have to find another home for one of them. sorry you are in this situation- its hard to have a big heart and want to care for lots of animals and provide them nice homes, when you have to abide by someone else's rules & dont have a ton of money- i know that feeling too. it also sounds like with the rent increase, it might be time to look for a new place? i have been lookiing to move, and found a place on craigslist.com. maybe you can find something more affordable that will let you have 3 dogs.
dont assume tequila will be put down- find a no kill shelter or rescue if you cant move & thought maybe you should adopt her out, i am sure people would be willing to work with her. sometimes dogs need to be with a single person, or not a female, or not a male, or no other pets- you never know what other situation out there would work for her.
hang in there- hope it works out well for you & the doggies.

| | hi beagadorable, I understand about that bot but come on I wasnt asking for hook ups or money and it was very honest mistake but at least i know better now and appreciat newfs taking time to explain it to me not like some were so hateful toward the situation , so anyways I am not here for that.actually i joined for reason being this sight says everytime i log in I am helping out the animalsand thats what I care about. Right now I am just so devasted and i would like to thank you for taking time out to write me and giving me your input thats all i wanted i need right now. you know I so appreciate these apartments cuz at least they let you have 2 pets of course with a deposit and 25.00 a month, not that i rescued this girls intentiallybut it happened and you are right I am going to give it one last try on writing the main landlords hoping they will give it a chance if not I will have to find a home for one of my girls hoping to find someone that would keep in contact ,send me updates maybe visit. (Is that asking for to much?)I think that is the only way I would feel good about it. again I thank you so much for your kindness your good input. This is all i wanted. I guess I just am hoping for a miracle. Thank again Have a nice day. | | | |

| i dont think its too much to ask if someone sent you pics or let you know how your baby was doing with them. i have a friend who gave up her dog to people she knew (not terribly close to them, but friendly)- and he is loving his new home- and my friend even gets to dog sit for them sometimes. its a win-win situation, and if it comes to that i am sure you will find that too. its also not to much to ask for a miracle that your landlords would let you keep 3 dogs. you never know- it doesnt hurt to ask- and i hope it works out. personally, i would still look at other apts just to see whats out there. there might be nothing better, but i like to look just to see what other options i have. if you do craigslist, just be careful- cause people can be dishonest there too. (its a shame we are all made to be so paranoid now, but you have to be optimistically cautious!) best wishes- i wish you didnt have to go through this decision- i can easily see how you got to the point where you are, and it easy to say you shouldnt have taken the extra dog in- but its also easy to see why you helped all of them. i wish there were more people so willing to help needy animals- there are way too many. hang in there! elaine | | | |

| | unfortunately i have no advice for you that hasnt already been given but my heart goes out to you. I have 6 cats at my dads house you can imagine how hard it was to find someplace that would take them. we almost lost the place a few months ago and had no idea how we were gunna get 6 down to 2. I really hope your landlord comes around. | | | |
