Recently I started my own business walking dogs and pet sitting and would love to talk to anyone who also does this that has any advice. I am living in brookline, ma and love animals. I also think this would be perfect to help me lose weight and get in shape. I am excited about it, but not that experienced.

I've thought about doing this many times, researching what other businesses offer, etc. I'm very interested in knowing how you got organized, what services you offer, prices, and your availability. Is it true this only works as a part time or extra-money job? I love animals, too, and am looking to work with them. I live in Salem, OR. My ideal would be to work in a rescue sanctuary......maybe one day! Looking forward to your reply....

Becareful. People Will hold you responceable with the care of their pet. Do you have insurance to cover yourself? You might want to check into that. Also take a class and become certified. Just an idea.

I don't have any advice but I just wanted to say I think it's so awesome you have a job where you can work with animals all day! I just started college and I'm considering getting a degree in something that would allow me to help animals.

On this subject I can be a lot of help to anyone interested in becoming a pet sitter. I owned a pet sitting business in Orlando for 5 years and LOVED it I am now in West Springfield, MA and would be more than happy to help anyone get started or answer any questions. Laura
