Ok Paka Why is it that your dogs always want what they're NOT supposed to have ? I have one just like you but I'm home all day. First thing is a needed long walk to tire him/her out in the morning before you go off to work. To get rid of some of that energy. A KONG toy could help, put some kinda treat in there. I've bought the supposedly indestrucable chew toys, but they eventually get chewed. Big bones keep them occupied (only buy he cooked ones) that have been baked and are a great way to keep them occupied for awhile. Keeping him crated during the day will help you avoid all the chewing and destruction until he grows out of some of it. Mine still goes after any kind of plastic, such as remotes (he's chewed 2) plastic drains in the backyard or lots of plastic toys of my grandaughters. After having pits for over 13 years and having some destruction (he first chewed on the corners of windows and walls) crates are a life saver. Most dogs sleep when your not home anyway. It avoids having him hurt (he could swallow something or hurt himeslf while your not home) and saves your yard and house. Both mine are under 2 years old and are definitely crated when we are not home. p.s. Come on over and I'll show you some of the teeth marks and window sils chewed on Hope this helps. |
