I am new member to this group snd I want to tell everyone about my hero dog, Barney was adopted\  when he was about 18 months old cause he previous owners were getting a divorce and neither one wanted him so I took him in.  He was always aloof dog did need allot attention, just food and water and a littler love every now and then.  Until the afternoon of Dec 7, 2007 I had been awake half the night getting  ready for a dog show the next day, and I just planned on sitting down for a minute to catch my breath. The next thing I know this 15lbs corgi mix . he looks like a black corgi) was jumping at my knees to get me awake here my whole kitchen was on fire.  By the time a realized what was wrong it was to late to save anything, woke my hubby up and he carried out dogs that were lose at the time .  My house went up like a timber box made 3 trips back in to get my girls out , my only reget was that I could not get to the dogs who were caged, lost 7 show dogs that day.  Sometime this year Barney turned 15 and he has tumor on his jaw which cannot be removed so every day I cherish that he was there for us.  And he had 1 more surprise for us this year he father his frist litter of puppies 5 little black bundles of joy if there are anything like their thry will make wonderful dogs.  We still miss the dogs that we lost but I know they went over the rainbow bridge and the dogs I lost before were there to show them ropes

Just wanted everyone to new about my hero boy what a wonderful decesion I madeto keep him,cause without him my husband and myself would not be here or the poodles.
