The Purina Pro Plan Rally to Rescue campaign is dedicated to raising awareness and funds for pet rescue organizations nationwide. Up to 500 rescue groups across the country are part of this campaign and are represented by an Ambassador at the local level. Coastal Boxer Rescue of Florida has been named as one of ten finalists in the “Doing More for Pets” contest. The “Doing More for Pets” contest recognizes pets who could not have survived without the commitment and dedication of Rally to Rescue Ambassadors. This nationwide campaign promotes the amazing stories of pet rescue and honors rescued pets who have overcome great odds to survive and thrive thanks to the dedication of pet rescue organizations. According to Purina “small pet rescue organizations place nearly half a million dogs and cats in homes each year and represent nearly 45% of all pet adoption groups.” The Ambassador and Vice President for Coastal Boxer Rescue, submitted the story of Savanna, a ten week old female boxer who came into the program after being picked up off the streets of Miami, FL. Savanna was a victim of Parvovirus and not expected to survive. Animal lovers throughout the United States will choose the Grand Prize winner of the “Doing More for Pets” contest. The Grand Prize winner will be determined by popular vote and receive $5000 worth of Purina Pro Plan Pet Food along with the winning pet and the pet’s current owner, will also receive a 4-day, 3 night trip to Reading, PA, to attend the National Dog Show presented by Purina. So please go to www.rallytorescue.org and read Savanna’s story and find it in your heart to vote for Savanna in the Purina “Doing More for Pets” Contest. We feel this will not only get information about Rescue Organizations but inform people about the importance of vaccinating their pets. Thank you. |
