We just picked up Missy from the shelterlast week and I can't figure out what she has in her. She's only about 10-12 inches tall (not sure, she won't hold still yet!).  Her face is similar to a Pomeranian, but her fur is long, silky and black. She's apparently close to one-year of age and they have no history. It is evident that she has had a litter shortly before the shelter got her.  They had her for almost two months.

She'll get spayed as soon as the vet has an opening to give her vaccinations - Oct. 20 for the vaccination and the 31st for the spaying....aaaaaaaaaaaaaagh... I've never had an unspayed dog for more than a couple of weeks!  I bought a little re-usable "diaper" - am I supposed to put another cloth inside it or should I have more than one??? How much do they menstruate...
