Thank you suzzanep, your message helped me to swallow my tears, continue reading and start to make a plan. Miami-Dade County already has a ban on owning or even having a pitbull in your possession, for any reason, and is now moving up into Broward County, where I live. No legislation has been formed for euthanasia as of this time, but who knows what to expect next with all the states that seem to becoming involved with this madness. And if they find a pit, or have any in any rescue groups or Humane Societies or foster homes, doesn't this mean death to the dog? I'm sure they have no plans to foster or adopt out a pitbull when they're banned. My heart hurts to hear all this sickness-my daughter and I owned a purebred pitbull, the sweetest most loving dog we've ever owned. She decided to move him upstate to be with an ex-boyfriends family. We had him since he was 8 weeks old [the tears are welling up again], when she sent him upstate, he was 3-4 years old. We were very fortunate, as many others may not be. He is very, very large and extremely strong, but not a nasty bone in his beautiful body. He is now a hunting dog with 18 others, and is having a blast! Why is this such an issue? Aren't there other things more pressing on the agenda in our political prowess? Don't we have a say in what happens in our political arena? Contacting as many politicians in any district in any state seems to be the only method of making ourselves heard. Thanks given to all the animal agencies who are appying pressure to those responsible, and many thanks [Bellamicuore] for making us aware of these atrocities that seem to be happening more often in more places. 's to all those responsible! Quote"The Greatness of a Nation and its Moral Progress can be judged by the way its Animals are treated" Mahatma Gandhi
