I live in Rocky River, Ohio (Cleveland suburb) and have been searching for my missing cat Niko for a very long time now.  I just found this website and want to get the word out about him to as many people as possible.  Niko is shorthaired, all black, medium size, thinner build, nuetered, and had a problem with an on/off going respiratory infection that was affecting one of his eyes at the time he went missing.  I don't know what it would look like by now if he hasn't had medical attention, or if he's even still alive.  I pray soneone nice took him in and has been taking care of him.  I've poste and advertised a lot so I hope if someone did find him, they will contact me.  Please email me at amberh1608@yahoo.com if you think you have any possible information about my Niko.  I miss hum so much and just can't give up.  I would appreciate so much if you all would keep a lookout for him and spread the word about him missing and description.  I'm offering a $1000.00 REWARD if he's found!!! Thank you

Just wanted to wish you good luck in finding him & tell you my story. I live in KY. Last April my Big-un went missing. I called for him everyday and went to the local animal shelter to search for him 2 times a week. Just when I had given up on him (4 months later--in August) he came back home!! He was really skinny and several of his teeth were missing, but I was so glad to see him again! I have since gotten him micro-chipped (after beating myself up for not doing this sooner all the time I was looking for him) and he now does not stray too far from home.

Some tips: Put an ad in your local paper (most run these for free), if he does come back, micro-chip him (will make it a lot easier if he turns up at an animal shelter), check your local shelter on a regular basis, put a missing cat ad out on perfinders.com, and try not to give up hope (miracles do happen, like my cat coming back after missing for so long)! Good luck!
