Please repost this travesty... we need the petition signed by as many normal, 
sane, compassionate people as we can get... This could have been anyone of us 
threatened at gunpoint to leave our pets behind. These could have been our 
beloved pets targeted by madmen wearing badges, gut shot and left to die 
painfully, UNNECESSARILY!!!

In the days following Hurricane Katrina, deputies were filmed roaming the 
streets killing dogs while the Army National Guard, Best Friends Animal Society, 
Pasado Safe Haven, HSUS and several other animal welfare groups and volunteers 
were on site to rescue them. 33 dogs were massacred in two schools where their 
families were physically forced to leave them. The same deputies were identified 
as being present during this evacuation. 
A Louisiana state grand jury was convinced of the street shooting evidence and 
handed down an indictment against Deputies Minton and Englande. 
Three weeks ago, the Louisiana Attorney General had the case dismissed. His 
contention being the shooters and shot dogs were not in the same frame at the 
exact instant the bullets hit the dog... meaning the videographer did not have a 
wide enough lens for the AG''s loophole. 
YOU DECIDE... then please act, sign the petition below. THIS COULD HAVE HAPPENED 
TO YOU.... THESE COULD HAVE BEEN YOUR PETS....

The only recourse for justice is a lawsuit filed in federal court.
