Our beloved Afghan Hound died after contracting a respiratory infection after spending the day at this facility. How do we know? On the way out, the manager informed us that we should keep an eye on our dog since the had an "outbreak" of kennel cough...Even though our dog had been vaccinated for Bordatella, he contracted the disease and within days it turned to pneumonia. He was hospitalized and put in quarantine. Despite excellent care, he went into kidnet failure and we were forced to put him down rather than have him experience a slow painful death. The owner of the facility has not returned our calls...However, we've heard that another Denver based Camp Bow-Wow has experienced a similar outbreak.

I am so sorry for your terribly sudden and unexpected loss. I wish you the best of luck in finding answers from the kennel owners, and possibly sparing another dog and its family the agony you went through. Cathy and the Crew

So sorry to hear about the unneccesary loss of your beautiful Tajik. It will not bring Tajik back, but contact whatever agencies in Colorado would cover licensing of these places. Hit them in the pocket book where it hurts.

Thank you all for your kind words of sympathy and support. Since the Camp Bow Wow owner refused to return our calls we contacted the Corporate headquaters and their "Top Dog" Heidi. Rather than accepting any responsibility, she had her Operations Officer misrepresent themselves to my vet so she would disclose information about his treatment (is there an animal version of HIIPA?). We just received a letter from CBW basically saying my dog was old and weak and that's why he died. Can you believe it?!
