A stray tortouis shell cat had kittens in my garage. She is a sweetie so I will keep her and have her spayed once her 5 kittens are weaned...which should be soon as they are now 7 weeks old. Three blacks and a grey/black striped tabby need loving homes. They have been handled since the second day after they were born and are just precious.

Free to good, loving homes only. Here is the link to their pictures:

Let me add that they are litter box trained, but also have access to go in and out of the house so they are not shy of the outdoors. They also have been eating dry cat food and drinking water.

Hi Pali,

I am sure that we are all animal lovers on this site and would not do anyhting to hurt an animal. I would however suggest that you not place an ad anywhere else other than this site saying that the kittens are "free" to a good home. There are people out there that search for ads for "free" pets. These animals are then sold to labs or students of a university for testing. I once found a kitten and placed an ad on petfinders. I then received numerous requests. Some seemed normal but others were really weird. Some people even wanted me to ship the kitten to them. I could not understand if they wanted a kitten so badly why did they not just go to the local shelter. One request was from a man in the UK that claimed he wanted to give his wife a kitten for her birthday. I did some research and found out that some universities will pay as much as $80 per cat and $100 per dog. I then decided that I would only give her to a someone I knew or a friend of the family. She now lives a happy life with a friend from work. I don't mean to worry you with this but you should beware.

That's true, Pink, and I haven't placed any other adds. It's horrifying what people will do to an animal. My black cat, Zayla, prefers to stay in the front yard while her sister stays in the back (both with access to the house). So when Halloween comes around, I make sure Zayla stays in the house.

I had forgotten about lab projects so thank you for reminding me and I hope others will read your post for the information, too. I still have kittens running everywhere, but I don't want to take them to the shelter. They are already overloaded with unwanted cats/kittens.
