Hello All,

I am looking for a loving and quiet home for my 8 year old 30 pound terrier mutt named Belle. I adopted her from the animal rescue league in Washington, DC in 2001 and she has been my constant companion. Abused as a pup, she is rather timid and prefers to sit in the corner of a room with her tail tucked safely underneath her until she feels comfortable. She loves cats and has been wonderful with my 3 1/2 year old son. Belle is happiest when snuggled on the couch next to you. Low-key, she doesn't need much exercise.

Our family is moving to Europe next month for 3 years and I can't bear the thought of putting her in cargo for 11 hours to take her with us. Sedatives only last for 4 hours, and with her nerves, I fear she would have a heart attack. I am looking for a kind soul to take Belle and love her.

I would be glad to send photos of Belle to interested parties. She is black with a scruffy beard, all white tummy, and streaks of brown.

I can arrange transport for Belle down to Washington, DC if someone is interested in her.
