In case anyone is not aware of it, the King County (WA) shelters are critically overcrowded and I understand that just about every animal is now sick. Volunteer vets from the area are removing the sickest animals and keeping them hospitalized, then releasing them to local volunteer groups who must then seek permanent homes for these poor guys. Mostly cats, apparently but some dogs. My group is another chance pet adoption. We have 5 super little cats that are "good to go" and 4 more coming in. Please view them on www.anotherchancepa.net and pass the word around to all your cat loving friends. We also have a dear little FIV male, 8 years old named Simon. He needs a lap to sit in and maybe a pretty girlfriend. Guy cats are no good for him as he thinks he is the Boss!
