I have been taking care of a very sweet drop off dog for the past few months. She is very friendly and loves children and other dogs and cats, she is part chocolate lab, but a small one. I want to find her a loving home, but don't want to advertise her in the paper because of research people getting her. To make matters worse, she is due with puppies shortly. Any suggestions to help me find her a good home would be greatly appreciated. I would take her myself, but I already have my hands full with my own adopted dogs, and cats. I am also currently feeding about 14 cats that have showed up from nowhere. I swear they put the word out on what a push over I am  ( SIGH ).

Have you tried a lab rescue? I foster for Labs4Rescue and they are great! Not sure if they're able to take dogs from AR but they may be able to give you another rescues name.

Well it is hard enough to find a dog a home , much less one that is pregnant. Check with your local shelter if there is anyone willing to foster her until the puppies are born and then if any vets in the area will spay her at reduced cost.I do not know what area of the country you are in, but reguardless be very carefull with stray cats and feeding them. The 14 you are now feeding are going to tell their friends and so on and so on. You are keeping them healthy to breed more stray cats . Not to mention there is rabies out there to be concerned about. You would be better off trying to catch these cats and get them to the shelter.
