I am losing my home at end of this month and must find a new home for my dog, Lucy. I am moving out of state to live with my aged father in a retirement community that does not allow pets and strictly enforces this policy. Lucy is a 7-yr. old, 75-lb., spayed, rottweiller/shepherd mix. I adopted her when she was 10 months old and have had her for 6 years. She is healthy, smart, well-trained (she does a repetoire of parlor tricks on command - shakes hands, comes, sits, begs, lays down, rolls over, she also knows directionals - inside, outside, upstairs, downstairs, off, etc), is socialized with other dogs (I had a yorkie as well). Lucy is completely housebroken (I would be gone up to 12 hours at work w/ no accidents), and mild mannered - overall a great companion dog, low maintenance, and a wonderful visual deterrent for crime. She looks scary but is actually quite timid-natured. Please help me find her a loving home because she doesn¢t deserve to be euthanized and that is my only other alternative to adoption. Parting with Lucy will break my heart as I love her dearly, but I want to give her a chance to find a good home before I call my vet. Thanks in advance for any assistance you can provide. Hopefully, Fran Giampiccolo
