The following are some lesser known dates that occur in the month of March.

I know St.Pat's,Palm Sunday and Easter are there so I will not list them only these that are not celebrated but at least should be respected.

1. March 2 Celebrate the birthday of Theodor Geisel( Dr. Seuss) with some green eggs and ham.
2. March 3 In 1962 Wilt Chamberlain pours in 100 points as Philly 76ers beat the NY Knicks in Hershey,Pa.
3. March 6 The Alamo falls in 1836 after holding off Mexican forces for 13 days.
4. March 11  Make points with your significent other - give him or her flowers on Romeo & Juliet's wedding day.
5. March 12 President F.D.Roosevelt tries to reassure nervous nation in his first fireside chat.
6. March 13 William Herschel discovers Uranus in 1781.
7. March 14 School kids makes first joke about Uranus 1781.
8. March 15 Beware the Ides of March! (Especially if your last name is Caeser)
9. March 20 Slip on an old cardigan and sneakers in honor of Mr. Rogers birthday.(born 1928).
10. March 27 Chicago Daily News reporter comes up with new name for the city's ball club; the Cubs
11. March 30 Eraser-topped lead pencil patented in 1858.
12. March 31 Eiffel Tower finished in 1889-it stands 1063 feet tall.
