It is with a very heavy heart that I tell all those who know me that Missy has passed on to the other side of the rainbow bridge. My little sweet one was 17 yrs old and was fighting cancer (and other medical problems due to the cancer) for about 8 months. I had her love for 11 1/2 yrs, it was not enough! I found her when I lived in another state and I would feed her and she started to let me pet her. Since I lived in an apartment with 2 other cats, I could not take her in. When I was moving, I could not just leave her, so I had her boarded at the Vets for a week before I moved (so I knew where she was & she was safe). Then she made the move to our new home (a house!) here in PA. At first she was not very friendly with the other cats but in time they made a truce of sorts. She became a love .. wanted to be held and given rubs all the time. She had the habit of butting you if you didn't give her the attention she wanted, or she would jump into your lap to get it I talked with my Vet every day to let him know how she was doing. I then made the final decission.. the hardest one to make... that she had to be put down ... it nearly broke me in pieces to do it. BUT I did not want her to suffer because I would miss her, so I did what was best for her. I stayed with her til the very last breath and then some. Missy, you will be missed ... for there is no other girl like you. Play my little one with your brother & sisters who have gone before you. You are in our hearts forever |
