Ruff came into my life like a firecracker and left just as suddenly. He was abused and abandoned twice, then I found him through my vet (I was NOT looking for a dog). He was supposed to be put down and she tried many times but said she just couldnt when she looked in his eyes. I came to meet him for the first time and he was HUGE and very hairy. I brought my family and friends to meet him. Everyone told me not to do it, "dont take him hes too big and will have too many problems from his past" I am so glad I don't listen. I brought him home and he hid in a corner for months as I slowly earned his trust and he captured my heart. He lived with me for 7 years during which time the same people who advised me against him, fought over his attentions. He was very special! One day I felt a bump under his chin and thought it was a bee sting, I took him to the vet and found out it was lymphoma. His life was very short from that point on, we tried different therapies but they did not even touch it. It has been 2 1/2 long years since Ruff became an official angel. Every day my heart breaks, not a minute passes that I don't long for him. Ruff I miss you terribly, I hope with all my heart you are at peace finally. You earned your place among the angels |
