Bart had a stroke monday nite. The grand old man of the pack is in very bad shape and i have to make the decision tonite re quality of life verses my need to hang onto him. I've been breeding /living with the pack for 23 years with Bart being "top wolf" for the last 15 years, there has never been nor will there ever be another Bart. I've been spending the last few days with him and realize that to my deepest regrets that maybe the best/kindest thing to do is let him go while he still has some dignity that he richly deserves. All petty rivalries and attempts to gain my attention have stopped as all noses are pointed to his barn, the pack knows something bad has happened and life is on hold, as all my attention is dedicated to the bestest of the best. If the worst happens, I'll love you forever, my dear dear BART.

Sorry for the pain you & Bart are/have just gone through. The pack will miss him too I'm sure and will mourn with you. Rest easy knowing that if you made the decision, he is now strong and running the show again on the other side of the Bridge.

Mopar i'm sending you lots of hugs and prayers. Prayers to help heal the the hurt. I'm so sorry you have that decision to make. The decision to end a life that means so much to you.But remember he will never suffer pain any more. And also remember you will see him again when your time on earth is over. You will be with him again, some day. We had to make that same decision last year for our LoveBug, our Cherokee, our White German Shepherd hybrid. Cherokee you are missed so much
