| | With heavy heart I must report that my buddy Stripe passed away today.
For the past 14 years he has been my faithful and loving companion. He brought much joy and happiness to me and to many friends and strangers - everywhere I went with him people would smile and want to pet him. He entertained thousands with his tricks and intelligence and even won a trophy for "Best Kisser in the County." He taught hundreds of school children how to "stop, drop, and roll" and to crawl out of a burning building.
His last few years were spent in comfortable retirement and he passed away peacefully in the loving arms of his two-legged parents. Now he is with my Grandfather, who always loved a good dog.
I wish to thank all of you here at AA that offered advice or answered questions I had as Stripe began experiencing health problems. And for providing resources that made this difficult time more bearable for me. Max | | | |

I know I don't have to say how deeply your lost has touched me. My heart breaks with yours, I cry with you.
Shadow will be perfect for him to hang out with, as I said: a spotted dog named Stripe and a white dog named Shadow. Those two have a lot to bark about. ![](/images/icon_smile_blackeye.gifborder="0")

When I need to reflect on things to help me thru I read the poem Footprints in the Sands. Also I read some of Ghandi's writings on inner peace.
