| | Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

| | I know that I look forward to the day that my companions can come back to me. It's comforting to think that they are healthy and happy again - just waiting for me to come and get them so we can play again. | | | |

| | This is so beautiful. The Rainbow Bridge has helped so many, yes myself so much. I wish I could thank the person who wrote this. If I could I would say....
Thank-you for easing our heartbreak and giving all of us peace and love.
Love and God bless,

When out dog Murphy died of cancer, we buried her in a special place in our yard. She liked to sleep on our bed so she is buried outside beneath the window where the head of our bed is. Then we said a prayer for her and read the Rainbow Bridge. It made us both cry. and we miss our Murphy girl so much. She is buried beside our dog Terra whom we adopted even though she was not well. She was with us for only 8 short months before she passed on.We have one other dog that was very special to us that we had before Terra and Murphy. Her name was Boo Boo. We have had all our dogs cremated however Boo Boo is in a special Urn we had made for her. We had her from 1987 to 2000. I know we all love our past and present pets but we go on. we have rescued 3 more dogs. | | | |
