On August 23, 2008, I put my sweet Binky cat to sleep...basically she had advanced stages of Lymphoma Cancer that was not caught during her yearly check up. I made the most incredibly hard choice to put my baby girl to sleep so that she would not suffer any more.

Binky was in my arms and looking up at me as I whispered all the words I can think of in her ear of how much she meant to me and how much she was loved.

I am still in shock...still grieving...and every day I look or call out for Binky forgetting that she is no longer with me.

Thank you to those who sent me emails, calls and text messages - it was much appreciated.

I know you made a very hard decision, but it was the right one. My kitten Lacey passed away a few days before christmas. I had made three trips to the vet that week trying everything to save her. The vet was not sure why she was sick but thought she might have had mini strokes. She would be fine for a few weeks and then she would lose her balance and have trouble swallowing. She was only 6 months old. Her last night with me was the worst. I stayed up all night trying to comfort her while I waited for the vets office to open. I knew it was time to put her down. She passed away in my arms as we were getting in the car to take her there. I'm wracked with guilt to this day for not taking her sooner. I know it's very painful right now and will be for a long time, but again you made the right choice. You put kitty's feeling above your own.
