I don't know if anyone else is participating in their local AIDS Walk...but Dexter (our miniature Australian Shepherd) and I (oh...and my husband Jim *LOL*) are in just a few short weeks here in Orlando on April 19th.

The 6-legged teams are comprised of at least one pet-parent and one pet. We are walking in memory of my Dad who I lost in 1990 to complications of AIDS...and to honor our HIV positive friends and the pets that are parts of their families and so enrich their lives.

If you would like to donate to my walk fund:

Just go to www.aidswalkorlando.org/donate/index.php
Click on "Donate To Member"
Then, in the Member Name area, type in the last name "Pinson" and scroll down until you see Kim and Dexter Pinson. (I believe my husband JIm's name is in there as well).
Donations are via Paypal or Credit Card and are totally secure.
No amount is too small and each and every penny will be appreciated beyond belief.

Please, do anything you can so that no one else has to lose a father, a daughter, a son, a friend or a partner to this heartbreaking disease.

I'll have to check that site out some more and see if there's any walks in my area.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! Words can not express how overjoyed I am at the response to this event. I few dollars here and a few dollars there (even some rolled change) is adding up to something really big and representative of what our world can be if we all work together.

Dexter, who will be walking, and Genie (who will  be guarding the house while we're out) say "'Woof" and Meow". I'm fairly certain that means "YOU ROCK!!!"

Jim, Dexter and I have moved up into the top 5 walkers/fund raisers for the upcoming AIDS Walk :-)

Thank you to everyone who supported our participation in the AIDS Walk. The total amount raised by the event was over $100,000. Dexter, Jim and I raised almost $600! It was a very inspiring event.

If anyone in Central Florida is interested, I am organizing a walk team for next year. Anyone who would like to participate just drop me a message.
