Dear Animal Friends, My name is Debbie and I just wanted to say hello and invite you to help homeless animals in need at the Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge (RBARI) It is easy to do, and all your support will help in the care of the dogs and cats that are at the shelter until they can find their forever homes. I am a volunteer with RBARI a non-profit, no-kill rescue shelter in Oakland, NJ. There, dogs and cats are rescued and taken care of which of course is very expensive. RBARI relies solely on puplic donations necessary to continue their rescue mission. We are now having our 4th annual RBARI Mutts Marathon. What's a Mutts Marathon? Well it's lots of things including a walk-a-thon to raise funds for the shelter. It's also an event to spend a fun day with dogs and the humans that love them. This is a "don't miss" event for all pet lovers where pet owners and animal lovers and walk to lend a paw for the shelter as well come to see exhibits, demonstrations, educational programs, special attractions, product giveaways, entertainment, food, and other fun things for dogs, adults and kids. I will be participating with Margarita, a Chihuahua who was also once homeless and I am asking for your sponsorship by making a donation that will benefit the animals that are so desperately in need and depend on people like us. Every bit helps and would be greatly appreciated. And since you may not be able to attend, why not make it in honor or remembrance of your own pet, knowing you will be helping another find a home where it too can be loved. You can do this by visiting my fundrasing page at www.firstgiving.com/deborahmartocci If you do live nearby, consider joining us for the fun on Saturday, October 11 from 11am to 5pm at Shepherd Lake in Ringwood State Park. To find out more information about this event please visit our brand new website at www.muttsmarathon.com Hope to hear from you..... And thanks for your support! Debbie We can't do it without you!
