Hi everyone, 

I know Prince had recently posted about bots again and then the woman who wanted help seemed like she could be a bot.  Well, i just got one today from "goldpets" and i'm quite sure it's a BOT. Maybe if we post each time we get one we can all stay clear of them.

and everything is possible in life with just a bit of determination .

The messages from bots look a lot like this one I believe. The picture is of a man standing by a red corvette. Has anyone else received this email?

The man in the picture is not old, fat, and balding like some of the real emails I get but hopefully this is a good example.

we used to have a post here where we would do exactly what you suggested. it was funny getting some of the emails and we would all joke around about who would get to win their money and meet their new love.

another hint, alot of them live in places that either do not exist, or live in amazing places.  they also seem to have pictures of really attractive people. i have not personally seen any in chat in a long time, but when i get the emails i send it to joanne on here and then delete it. 

usually they seem to talk about love and money and your pictures and how they will treat you...

Just to clear that up.... GreyT is not a BOT ~~  I  first corresponded with her over a year ago when she first joined this site ... she's just a  pet lover with a big heart like most of us on here .

Julie I got that email also a while back, and it was verbatim. You should list the persons id in case admin wants to handle it. There is also someone who keeps iming me on here and turns up as a new member every couple days. The content of his messages borders on lewd so I have a feeling he gets kicked off the site repeatedly. He is from New York but the name keeps changing.

I don't think dobeluvr was talking about GreyT or about the post that had to be removed because of someone else's rude comments, I think she's talking about the post under peer advice where lalasomething said she needed input and her post sounded like a bot.

PS - I think I'll stick with my photo of my pets as my main photo - it seems to keep the bots away!

i reported that guy...he was from NY and coming in under different names after being kicked off...i think and hope that he is gone for good. joanne said she took care of it!

I suppose "BOT" is derived from "ROBOT" but I have to say every time I see the term all I can think of is a bot fly which, alhtough I like all animals, are really not up there among my favorites.  But there again maybe that is where the term comes from....bot flies lay their eggs in a host and then the babies eat their way out....very unpleasant.....

A BOT is a virtual person - a person who exists only in cyberspace as it were.  They are often used to perpetrate scams, etc.

The only bot I knew of was the bots on my horse's legs like you described.  That's what attracted me to this thread....LOL.

Please, please, please email me at customercare@animalattraction.com if you suspect a user of being a spammer. We don't have a system in place yet that lets us know of potential bots, so we're relying on our great members to let us know!
