I love that show and watch it all the time! What breaks my heart , is seeing these poor abused animals in such terrible shape and in such terrible conditions. How any person can abuse an innocent, loving animal is far beyond me, and when I see it, it makes my blood boil!

I respect  those Animal Control Officers and what they witness on a daily basis. It must be so hard on them, being right there and seeing everything, up close and personal.

There is no excuse for Animal Abuse, and it needs to be stopped!!!

I am a big fan of Animal Cops & will e-mail Animal Planet right away. I did not realize that they were not going to do any new shows. We have learned more about how to spot an abused animal from watching the shows. Also we are much more aware of the animals we see while traveling. (we are full time RV'ers) I don't have any problem with reporting abused animals.

I watch a few minutes at a time, but I can rarely handle the entire episode.  The cruelty really gets to me.

I love these shows also, it is so sad that so many neglect there animlas.

I would love to have a job like that helping animals, I am sure some days it is real hard for them though.

I love the animal planet channel in general, lots of good shows on there.

I am so glad that that show is ending!
They've done more to hurt animals and their owners than any other single entity.
I have watched too many times when they overstepped their bounds, didn't abide by the law, induced others to break the law by trespassing, and themselves caused suffering to animals that were NOT being abused until the Animal Cops abused them (tossing their generic food across a fence to a dog on a restricted prescription diet -- they killed him with that nasty dog food)
I watched one show, from Florida, where the Animal Cop ticketed an owner over his goats -- her recommendations were so far off base for anyone who acually knows goats, it was pathetic. If her guidelines were followed, the goats would quickly become obese and stop breeding/producing milk.
Same with bottlecalves -- owner ticketed because calf had hip bones showing and didn't have hay in front of it. It was a dairy breed, they're SUPPOSED to have hip bones showing, if they're not the calf is obese -- and bottlebaby calves don't get hay until they're older and able to digest it,
Same with rabbits, they know not what they speak of.

People who are in the position of policing others over animals should have a working knowledge of the animals, instead of going by their "gut feelings", as they admit to doing.

I, for one am NOT happy about the end of this show. I just watched the one filmed in Detroit ~ the help that these people give these animals is tremendous. The dogs they spare from fighters are numerous. The hoarding situations they solve are amazing. Just in one episode they saved a tore up bait dog, 9 cats from a neglectful situation 2 dogs from the same home as the cats ~one was locked in the basement never saw the light of day and the other had a tumor on his rectum so big and infected he couldnt be saved. They rescued a dog from an empty pool and found her a loving home.

In other episodes in every city they film in they have saved dogs left to die at the end of a chain ~starving dehydrated and many times in the Michigan show half froze to death.  They have had dogs with embedded collars so deep that 1 more day it would have cut the jugular.

Give credit where credit is due. These people put themselvesin harms way to help animals that surely would die if not for these "animal cops".  Some of these "animal cops" have full police authority so breaking the laws I'm sure is not an option.

So even though they may not be airing new episodes ....   to all that help these animals   YOU ROCK   and  THANK YOU for educating the public on the cruelty that so many animals endure every day.
