| Hello cat lovers, My cat Kitty is very sweet but I guess still has the killing instinct. She kills a chipmunk almost every day and brings it in front of my apartment's door. Most times she would eat the head and leave the body intact. I asked my vet for an advice as I like the chipmunks and don't want them killed. The vet suggested putting a bell around Kitty's neck, so that chipmunks can hear her coming. I put a bell and two metal tags to make noise - it didn't help! Can someone give me some advice? Thank you much! | | | |

| hi, Danisto and Kitty (smiles)... have you tried a cat bib? they seem to be very effective and it attaches over the kitty's collar. vegangal | | | |

| | Shadow does the same thing with birds and the occasional squirrel. We've put a bell on his collar, and it seems to have helped some, I suppose. We haven't found as many dead animals as we used to. But there are other cats that roam around too, so we can't really tell whether the remains that we do find are his kills or those of another cat. | | | |

| | Well the cat bib don't look to safe to me anyways. The best way to prevent unwanted killings would be to keep kitty inside ...this way she won't catch diseases such as Feline Leukemia. Or get hit by a car. Or maybe take her out supervised. | | | |

| again, God created these creatures for His reasons...not me, not you...if it really disturbs you, keep the cat indoors...like Allie said, you're actually keeping it from a lot of harm by doing so | | | |

| | Cats are hunters! I have three and sometimes they do it to,It's a natural instinc to do this, I feed my cats real well, also the cat is bringing a present, alot of cats do this, its their way of saying hey mom look ! this is for u, I know it is crappy to look at but that's, I think it's the chase that that gets them going. My one cat used to do this all the time, and he probably still does it but IJust don't see it, he also doesn't eat them, he just lays them on the porch. And I love chipmonks to | | | |
