 It didn't occur to me until just now. I am a VIP. If you own pets (or are owned by them) you are too.
My line has always been "I am the Goddess of all that is good in life", well to my dogs that is. I've had trouble convincing my boss on that one.
Now I know what it feels like to travel with an entourage. Of course, my "travels" this morning took me to the bathroom, and to the kitchen for coffee. Not exactly a red carpet life style, but it works for me. I had to wade through scores of fans. Okay, I had to wade through three pointers and a springer. They are my own personal puparazzi.
The only thing missing was the flash of camera's, cheering from the crowd, and requests for autographs. I'll settle with the "can I have you.....throw the ball" requests instead.
Face it I am a VIP. They adore me, and I them. They watch my every move, hound my every footstep, thrill at my arrival, wail at my departure.
Okay, so perhaps I'm a little delusional, but I maintain it only adds to my charm. Plus, I have opposable thumbs.......and access to the liver treats. That alone makes me a VIP.

Sounds just like my house except with just 3 dogs and one cat following my every move.

Yea I get that same excitment whenever I get home.....whether it be for the treats or the walk he most anxiously wants! Hey I will take it.......he is the #1 male in my life.......:)

Now that definitely sounds like my household. I am currently owned by 9 cats and 5 dogs. All of whom think that I am the greatest thing on two legs the minute I open the closet that houses all their food and especially the treats. But hey at least with this fan club you never have to worry about something "undesireable" hitting the tabloids. And they are the best secret keepers in the world.

i agree, we are owned and honored by our pets. my 3 cats and 2 dogs, mean everything to me. i think they like me too, they follow me everywhere i go but stay out of my way so i don't trip over them. i am a stroke survivor and use a cane to walk. i give out treats around here alot for their great behavior. i get to be with them all day long, now. i used to hate having to leave them for work. now we can play all day. i am in heaven here on earth. they do keep secrets well, lol

Ha, ha, ha! Great story that I think a lot of us can relate to. I love being taken for my daily walks with my Yorkie, Kelsey! She's my best friend in the whole world! Our family is also blessed with 3 Cockatiels, one of whom is extremely nosey & if he could speak, I'm sure he'd divulge all of our family secrets!!! I wouldn't trade any of my babies for anything! They make me whole & I believe they're my angels just as I am their angel.
